I was born in London in the UK. I began playing guitar at 9, learning classical guitar and playing in local rock bands. I studied guitar at the Royal Academy of Music for a year before studying composition at City University in London. Musically I like both traditional classical composing as well as modern production techniques, and I also like styles that blend the two. Where possible I try to use live musicians in my music as well as samples and electronics. Some of my influences include composers like: Mark Isham, Gustavo Santaollala, Michael Nyman, Prokofiev and Ennio Morricone. I started writing originally for fringe theatre and student films. Since then I have written for corporate and multimedia projects, have contributed to music libraries and also become involved in educational work relating to music composition.
