The Navigator (Extract) by Film & TV ComposerAl Lethbridge

I love this. It is so calming and relaxing and invokes images of sunshine and long, lazy days for me,- much needed after this summer in the UK!

Ocean Dawn by Film & TV ComposerRodney Newton

There is little more I can add to what has already been said about this piece. Orchestral writing of the very highest order with wonderful, evocative themes. Great stuff!

Empty by Film & TV ComposerOlivia Dixon

I really like the reverse piano loops in this one. Sets up a great backing for a very useful track.

The Fifth Province by Film & TV ComposerAl Lethbridge

I have to agree with Paul on this one, that syhth whistle sound is so distinctive. The rest of the track is so beautifully done, I would love to hear it re-recorded with real whistling or something else instead.

Maori Slam by Film & TV ComposerDov Waterman

Despite some valid points made already, I really thought this was a very effective track. it would be a pity if the meaning of words, and copyright law were to completely stunt creativity. Yes, it is all too easy to sample and mess about with wonderful and exotic ethnic material, but when it is done well to produce a sonically interesting track......

White Water by Film & TV ComposerAndrew Kremer

A super track full of energy with some great percussion sounds. very well produced with a good sense of tension

Autumn (trailer) by Film & TV ComposerDale Sumner

A powerful track with a strong theme, left me wanting to hear more.

Some of Me by Film & TV ComposerAmos Deane

A potentially good jazzy track, marred by the use of sampled drum sounds. Much better samples than these are now available. Good sax performance

Clock of the Four Apocolypses (extract) by Film & TV ComposerDale Sumner

This piece has some lovely compositional ideas with a good build and variety of ominous colours. If only the violin at the start could be real! It would be a terrific track with live instruments.

Streams of Sunlight by Film & TV ComposerMark Adair

Yeah! Nice backround groove track with a uplifting feel and good build. Would think it should do well in a library.

In to Work (from 'Mossley Mill') by Film & TV ComposerRobert Jarvis

Interesting minmalist rhythmic backround and some nice wind/brass phrases.Perhaps more could be done with the voice sample but I like this a lot.

DNA by Film & TV ComposerJonathan Ware

Good production and some nice organic sounds but lacks anything to make it stand out from the crowd musically. Could have featured the gamalan-like percussion more however i feel that the panel ratings were generally too low for what is a very competent track

Road to Nowhere by Film & TV ComposerToni Baker

Great energy and played with real attitude by top musicians! Some nice Hammond licks, fun lyrics, what more could you want for a theme tune?

Rollers and Breakers by Film & TV ComposerRodney Newton

Well, what can one say? Quite superb with masterful orchestration. John is certainly one of my first choice players. Lovely stuff!

Entomophonix by Film & TV ComposerRobert Jarvis

Quite superb! Wonderful recordings manipulated in such a way as to sustain sonic interest throughout. Music concrete still has much to offer.

Curiosity Shop by Film & TV ComposerJonathan Ware

A well put together track with just enough going on to avoid the repetition becoming monotonous. Good use of velocity programming/playing of the harp sound to give variation and depth. A very effective track!

Eye of Fear by Film & TV ComposerMax Wilson

Some lovely sounds and textures although I preferred it before the track became too busy. Also, the reverse, heavily panned sounds just become a bit too predictable and over-used before the end. very chilling however!

Not in the Mood by Film & TV ComposerRobert Jarvis

Once again this does not easily fit into the mould of 'screened music' but as a bit of light-hearted entertainment its pretty cool! Well played with a lovely easygoing feel.

The Shoebox by Film & TV ComposerJack Chapple

very effective atmospheric short piece utilising the currently very popular sort of 'romantic minimalist' style. i would imagine this working very well in the context given

With You by Film & TV ComposerAndrew Barnabas

Effective if a little sentimental, but often a scene calls for this kind of treatment. Get the tissues ready! Nicely handled orchestral cue sets the mood beautifully.

Intermezzo by Film & TV ComposerFadi Gaziri

Yes, this has a really classy, subtle and contemporary feel. Will do very well I expect.

Andes to Amazon by Film & TV ComposerAnne Nikitin

I Agree with James on this. The peice is sensitive and well scored, very impressive for a first attempt and I would say considerably more interesting and well crafted than other peices that have had far higher ratings on this site. I don' think this was ever intended to be a title track, and I imagine it would work very well with the images without being too intrusive, something much saught after by the creatives on the visual side of things! Well done Anne!

Helicopter (EON Commercial) by Film & TV ComposerRob Manning

A clever, naturalistic feel-good piece which I am sure does the job really well.

Over The Edge by Film & TV ComposerJack C Arnold

Dark and moody with building tension towards the end. Fits the bill exactly as described.

Falcon Takes Flight by Film & TV ComposerAnne Nikitin

A subtle underscore with a nice sense of movement. This worked very well with the images.

Corpse Candles by Film & TV ComposerDale Sumner

Great title! Suitably chilling and the second cue made me jump! The only downside is the use of the same old samples, but there again, I use them so I can't really criticize. I guess those of us in the industry are bound to recognise some of the sounds but it does not necessarily detract from the effectiveness of the track.

Creeping Light by Film & TV ComposerMax Wilson

Yes this really deserves to be listened to. Very atmospheric and beautifully static but with subbtle changes of texture maintaining interest throughout. A little reminiscent of Simon Jeffes and the Penguin Cafe orchestra but much darker. Excellent!

L'Edge en Dame by Film & TV ComposerAndrew Barnabas

This is great! Beautifully played and stylistically excellent. Dare I say it would make a lovely French brie for the cheeseboard?!(I mean in the best possible sense!).

Prelude by Film & TV ComposerStephan Hodel

This is excellent! The brief has allowed plenty of scope here and there is wonderful use of orchestral colour, space and dynamics. Quite a few composers mentioned already in other reviews, did I also detect a little nod to Carl Orff? This is top professional work!

Damsel by Film & TV ComposerJonathan Tapp

One of the best ways to learn any trade is by copying the masters! This succeeds very well in attaining that big-screen, action movie sound although perhaps without the budget! Now you need to move on from what you have learned and inject your own personality!
