Didier Messidoro composes music for TV, film, commercials and theatre. Most recently, he wrote the score for the six-part Channel 4 series, ‘Cast Offs’ a groundbreaking comedy-drama following a group of disabled people marooned on an island for a reality TV show.

Other recent projects include ‘Saved by Dolphins’ (Big Wave TV for BBC2); ‘Creatures’, a documentary for the Arts Council (Last Bus Productions), and ‘Toccata e Fuga’ a contemporary dance performance for The Place theatre. He was also music consultant on the 2009 epic wildlife feature film, ‘Turtle - The Incredible Journey’ (Big Wave/FAME).

Didier was born in Aix-en-Provence and studied saxophone and music theory at the Darius Milhaud Conservatoire. After touring France with the acclaimed Theatre et Chansons company, he moved to London and formed his own band, playing originals and covers everywhere from the Mean Fiddler to the ICA. He decided to focus on composing after enjoying involvement in film and theatre projects including 'Eiffel’s Blessing' (Garth Jennings), 'Jeux de Plage' (Laurent Cantet) and the Royal Court’s 'Fxxxing Games' (Grae Cleugh).

Didier works from his studio in London and always enjoys discussing new projects over coffee and a croissant.
