Overview
The first in a series of master classes for professional film and television composers run in partnership with Apple at the Apple Conference Centre in Hanover Street. These events are exclusive to Screened Music Composers and Events Members only. They are aimed at those working professionally in the arena of film and television composition and so a high level of technical competence is assumed.
All master classes will be presented on Logic 8 by Apple Distinguished Professional John Moores. They will focus on universal production techniques rather than any specific platform, drawing on real world examples of noteworthy film and television music. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
A note from John Moores
"Modern trends mean that, as composers familiar with harmony, melody and orchestration, we need to have skills in music production techniques, sound design and mixing. This series of workshops aims to bring together the technical considerations, creative possibilities and aesthetics of modern music production, directed towards the 21st century film and television composer."
John will be joined by Special Guest Speaker David Lowe. David’s work includes the themes for BBC News, BBC News 24, BBC World Service, The One Show, Panorama, Wildlife on One, The Really Wild Show, Grand Designs and 5th Gear.
