Stu Kennedy

With a degree in Mathematics Stu went and worked in maths-based software development for 7 years. During this time Stu was writing, arranging and performing music mainly for Jazz, Funk and Gospel; including playing in the soul/funk band The Myters. He started composing professionally in 2008 working on a low-budget national TV ad track. He enjoyed the challenge of putting music-to-picture and the intensity of the work, which led him to become interested in dramatic orchestration for movies. Film music had been a passion of his for many years, but he never thought of writing it himself. Very quickly Stu started to break into small composing jobs needing dramatic music and found himself on 3 low-budget Hollywood movies for additional music within 3 months.
